The Financial Stability Board hosted a roundtable in Basel on Sept. 10 to examine how public-private collaboration can improve the financial sector’s preparedness for significant operational disruptions. Participants included senior officials from member authorities, financial institutions, public-private collaboration forums and nonfinancial government agencies. Discussions covered building trust between authorities and firms, sharing lessons from operational incidents and exercises, and identifying effective collaboration practices. Participants also considered interoperability across sectors and jurisdictions and future operational resilience challenges, complementing the FSB’s broader work to improve cross-border information-sharing on cyber and operational incidents.
