The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) reported that its Office Party Committee held its first Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term, setting priorities for party-building work and the Office’s operational support to SBV leadership following an internal reorganisation. The congress was attended by 163 party members and included direction from Governor Nguyen Thi Hong in her capacity as Secretary of the SBV Party Committee. As part of SBV’s organisational streamlining, from March 2025 the Office took over most functions, responsibilities and staff from the Administration Department and the Communications Department, prompting a corresponding expansion of its party organisation. The Office Party Committee now comprises 10 subordinate party cells aligned with the Office’s 10 divisions, with 169 party members as of 2 April 2025, up from three cells with 55 members previously. The Governor instructed the new-term party leadership to promptly adopt working rules, a term work programme and task allocations, while prioritising stronger advisory and coordination support for SBV leadership, faster IT-enabled digitisation and process redesign including administrative procedures and document workflows, a higher share of end-to-end online public services, and further modernisation of SBV’s communications work.
