The annual growth rate was slightly below January’s 7.2% and above the 6.5% growth recorded in 2025. Household credit increased 6.8% year on year (0.5% month on month), while credit to firms grew 7.3% (0.2% month on month) to PEN 255,493 million. By currency, credit denominated in soles expanded 5.5% year on year (0.3% month on month), while credit in foreign currency grew 13.0% year on year and 0.5% from the prior month.

Central Bank of Peru reports 7.1% year-on-year growth in private sector credit in February 2026
