The Montenegro Capital Market Authority announced that an Investor Protection Fund was established on 1 January 2026, aimed at strengthening confidence in Montenegro’s capital market and providing additional protection of investors’ rights. The fund brings together investment firms and authorised credit institutions operating under the authority’s supervision and in line with applicable rules. Participating investment firms are Bull and Bear Broker and VIP Broker (services related to simple financial instruments), TF Capital, Nozax, Limit Prime Securities, Finveo, Templer Securities and RSI Global (services related to complex financial instruments, including derivatives), along with Hipotekarna banka, Prva banka, Crnogorska komercijalna banka, Universal Capital Bank, Erste Bank, Zapad banka and Adriatic Bank (authorised credit institutions). The authority will monitor the fund’s work within its statutory powers and publish updates on matters relevant to investor protection.
