The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Electronic Security Service under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport have announced enhanced cooperation on information security and cybersecurity in the financial sector, aiming to improve coordinated responses and threat awareness. The cooperation will focus on ensuring coordinated sector-wide action, organising relevant cybersecurity measures, and establishing mutual information-sharing on incidents, cyberattacks and other threats. The two bodies also plan educational and awareness initiatives to raise cybersecurity knowledge among financial-sector participants and the wider public.
