The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo reported that Governor Ahmet Ismaili participated and presented at the World Bank Constituency meeting held alongside the 2025 International Monetary Fund and World Bank Annual Meetings in Washington, D.C., highlighting Kosovo’s cooperation with the World Bank Group. The meeting brought together representatives from Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey and Kosovo, with discussions focused on productivity growth, strengthening trade and investment, digitalisation and technology adoption to support economic growth, and financial inclusion. Ismaili outlined Kosovo’s experience and achievements in implementing World Bank Group projects and technical assistance, including in digitalisation and financial-sector development, and referenced outcomes such as Kosovo’s removal from the fragility list and its role as a donor in the International Development Association. During the annual meetings, the central bank delegation is expected to hold bilateral meetings with counterparts from partner central banks.
