The China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission held a 2025 constitutional oath-taking ceremony for newly appointed officials at its headquarters, with Party secretary and director Li Yunze overseeing the oath and delivering remarks and deputy director Xiao Yuanqi chairing the ceremony. Li framed the oath as a commitment to fulfilling financial supervisory duties, calling on staff to uphold the authority of the Constitution, maintain political discipline and alignment with central leadership, and strengthen rule-based administration in supervision. He set out expectations to accelerate financial legislation and revisions in line with the goals for the “15th Five-Year Plan” period, address shortcomings in the supervisory制度 framework, and further standardise supervisory enforcement to safeguard market order and protect financial consumers’ lawful rights and interests. The remarks also emphasised tightening discipline and anti-corruption requirements, including oversight of how supervisory powers are allocated and exercised, with the resident discipline inspection and supervision team and relevant departmental officials attending.
