The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a Zoom roundtable with more than 100 participants, including representatives of the Asian Development Bank and founders and executive directors of microfinance organizations, to explain the procedure and legislative framework for changing microfinance organizations’ activities to those of a microfinance bank, including regulatory requirements, establishment procedures, and licensing stages, and agreed to organise future thematic practical seminars based on market participants’ proposals.
