Argentina Securities Commission (CNV) Vice President Sonia Salvatierra spoke at the Ibero-American Institute of Securities Markets (IIMV) meeting on market development in Panama, outlining the regulator’s work to modernize and innovate Argentina’s capital markets, with a focus on financial innovation and digital assets. Her presentation highlighted recently issued rules on Virtual Asset Service Providers (PSAVs) and the Tokenization Regime, framed as part of an agenda combining innovation with process simplification. The event, co-organised by the IIMV with the Ibero-American Federation of Stock Exchanges (FIABV) and Panama’s Superintendency of the Securities Market, brought together senior officials from securities regulators, market supervisors and regional exchanges. Technical sessions focused on regulatory harmonisation and market integration, international cooperation including mutual recognition, simplification of registration and supervisory procedures, cybersecurity, and innovation and new products.
