The Financial Consumer Agency of Canada launched a national advertising campaign, Making the most of your money, to help Canadians manage their finances and navigate financial challenges in a complex and changing economy. The campaign highlights FCAC resources aimed at supporting day-to-day financial decision-making, including a Mortgage Calculator for new and renewing mortgages, an Account Comparison Tool for chequing and savings accounts, a Budget Planner to build a personalized budget in three steps, and a Credit Card Payment Calculator to compare repayment options and costs over time. It also promotes information on consumers’ rights and responsibilities when dealing with federally regulated financial institutions, including encouraging early, candid conversations with financial institutions when financial difficulties arise. The campaign runs until March 31 and will feature tips and tools to help Canadians spend smarter, save more and build financial resilience.
