The Brazil Securities Commission (CVM) announced LEAP Connect 2026, a 7 May 2026 event at the regulator’s headquarters in Rio de Janeiro focused on the convergence of regulation, technology and business development. The meeting will present the results of the first edition of LEAP, CVM’s Experimentation, Learning and Prototyping Laboratory, run in partnership with Fenasbac. The agenda includes demonstrations of solutions developed during the 2025 LEAP cycle, with finalist teams presenting prototypes on topics including regulatory automation, artificial intelligence applied to market supervision, sustainability reporting, infrastructure for the carbon market and secondary-market solutions for crowdfunding. The programme also includes the launch of the LEAP Report consolidating reports, metrics and lessons learned, a panel on capital markets transformation and recent regulatory changes, and the formal launch of the LEAP 2026 cycle with new challenge themes and the opening of applications. Attendance will be limited and subject to curation and approval, prioritising strategic CVM staff, financial sector leaders and startups with potential to collaborate with the regulator.
