The Central Bank of Slovenia announced that Acting Governor Primož Dolenc will attend the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group Annual Meetings in Washington, D.C., from 13 to 18 October 2025, including participation in the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC). The IMFC, which meets twice a year during the IMF and World Bank Spring Meetings and Annual Meetings, will discuss current developments and challenges in the global economy, including the consequences of geopolitical tensions and accelerating economic fragmentation. The agenda also includes the IMF’s role in providing financial assistance to member states facing balance of payments issues and the IMF’s position at the centre of the Global Financial Safety Net. Dolenc and other Slovenian delegates will also hold bilateral meetings with IMF representatives.
