The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority has started paying amounts due to investors who incurred losses after buying shares in Ajwa for Food Industries Egypt between 4 October 2009 and 25 October 2009, after completing the required legal and enforcement steps. Payments will be made through Misr for Central Clearing, Depository and Registry, including cases involving inheritance and unified investor codes, under the applicable execution procedures. The disbursement follows decisions No. 10 and No. 12 of 2022 issued by the Second Grievances Committee on 11 September 2022, which provided for continuing implementation of the obligation set out in Financial Regulatory Authority decision No. 491 of 2011 through a cash settlement mechanism for investors, in line with the findings of a committee formed under chairman decision No. 1520 of 2021. The authority said execution became possible after the full amount due to beneficiaries had been deposited, the deposited bank cheque had been collected, and the full settlement amount had been credited to the dedicated account at Misr for Central Clearing, Depository and Registry. Misr for Central Clearing, Depository and Registry is to announce the execution procedures for collecting the amounts due.
