The Bank of the Lao hosted a technical-level bilateral meeting with the Ministry of Finance to review progress on implementing resolutions from earlier ministerial-level and governor-level discussions and to address outstanding joint work. The meeting focused on strengthening coordination between the two institutions, with particular attention to financial and monetary matters and planned revisions to certain manuals and regulations linked to anti-money laundering and counterterrorist financing. More than 40 officials from both sides attended. Discussions produced preliminary agreement on a number of workstreams, with relevant departments and units from the two institutions tasked to continue detailed joint work and prepare proposals for the leadership of both sides. Those proposals are intended for consideration, approval or amendment at a future meeting of the two institutions' leadership.

The Bank of the Lao and the Ministry of Finance held a technical-level bilateral meeting to review implementation of earlier joint decisions and discuss outstanding financial and monetary policy work. The talks also covered revisions to some AML and counterterrorist financing manuals and regulations. Relevant departments were assigned to develop detailed proposals for a future leadership meeting.
