The Thailand Office of Insurance Commission said it has sent senior representatives to visit people injured in the train collision with a public bus and to provide support on insurance rights and claims. The Office said it will coordinate with relevant insurers to verify policy coverage, facilitate access to benefits for injured victims and families of those killed, and help speed compensation payments in line with policy terms. On 19 May 2026, representatives acting on behalf of the Secretary-General visited two hospitals where victims were being treated, consulted medical staff, and took questions from victims and relatives. They provided guidance on the documents needed, how to check coverage under the relevant policies, and the steps for exercising insurance rights.
