The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) held an interactive awareness session for officials of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) at its Islamabad head office, focusing on company incorporation processes and ease of doing business. The briefing covered SECP’s regulatory functions, its network of nine Company Registration Offices, and the end-to-end digital incorporation process through the eZfile portal, including user registration, incorporation of local and foreign companies, required documentation, types of business structures, the governing laws for companies and limited liability partnerships, and the benefits of incorporation. Participants raised questions on regulatory and procedural issues, and SECP also outlined recent initiatives to simplify registration and improve service delivery, alongside incorporation growth trends over the past five years. The session concluded with discussions on strengthening collaboration and future coordination between SECP and SIFC on facilitating business entry processes.
