The Central Bank of the Philippines has entered a memorandum of agreement with the Pasig City Government and BDO Foundation to expand financial education programs for Pasig residents. The program is aimed at helping people strengthen money management skills, make informed financial decisions, and protect themselves from scams and fraud, with beneficiaries drawn from sectors including students, senior citizens, market vendors, transport drivers and micro-entrepreneurs. Under the agreement, the central bank and BDO Foundation will train local financial education advocates who will serve as instructors in Pasig's training programs. The Central Bank of the Philippines will also provide technical input and reference materials for program development and implementation, and will conduct direct financial education sessions for beneficiaries.
