The Central Bank of Kuwait has highlighted its ongoing measures to support women’s progression within the institution, marking Kuwaiti Women’s Day, and disclosed that women account for 57.1 percent of its workforce and 58.5 percent of leadership positions. The bank framed this as part of a broader equality-based approach to developing female talent and preparing women for future leadership roles. Its initiatives include professional training programmes designed to support continuous development and open access to roles at all job levels, including leadership and supervisory positions within the central bank and across the Kuwaiti banking sector. Female employees hold 37 percent of all professional certifications among the bank’s staff, and women received 50 percent of the central bank’s study scholarships over the past ten years. The bank said it will continue this approach of equal opportunity and women’s empowerment.
