The Bank of Spain published July 2026 official reference rates for variable-rate mortgage loans, reporting that the one-year Euribor rose to 2.855% from 2.798% in June. The benchmark, the main reference rate for mortgages issued by Spanish credit institutions, increased by 0.776 percentage points over the past 12 months. Other July reference rates included the one-week Euribor at 2.146%, the three-month rate at 2.425%, the six-month rate at 2.647% and the five-year interest rate swap rate at 2.957%. The official rates become valid upon publication in Spain’s Official State Gazette, which normally occurs several days after their release by the Bank of Spain.
