The Thailand Office of Insurance Commission has upgraded its OIC Connect platform into a national insurance super app and introduced a new service, My Legacy, that allows heirs to search for a deceased policyholder’s insurance policies. The move expands OIC Connect from a digital insurance service tool into a broader platform linking insurance benefit data across the regulator, insurers and government partners, with the aim of giving the public a single digital access point for insurance information, benefits and case tracking. OIC Connect now offers nine core services through the LINE Official Account “OIC Connect,” including policy lookup across all insurers, automated insurance information support, coverage summaries, tax benefit checks, motor insurance claims and driving-behavior discount history, agent and broker verification, complaint tracking linked to the PPMS system, and location search for OIC and insurer offices. The new My Legacy service is designed for statutory heirs, including children and spouses, to check the deceased’s policy information so they can claim benefits more quickly and with fewer missed entitlements. Identity verification for the service uses the ThaiD application of the Department of Provincial Administration to protect personal data. The regulator said the platform has more than 1.4 million users. The Office of Insurance Commission also said it plans to continue expanding the platform’s scope, including services showing health insurance claim history and premium payment history, while adding artificial intelligence and other digital tools to improve service delivery.
