The Angola Capital Markets Commission has approved the registration of the Jim Simons Commodities – Closed-End Special Securities Investment Fund for public subscription. The fund’s stated focus is building a portfolio of assets denominated in the national currency, with performance and stability linked to short-term interest rate movements, exchange rate variation, and the credit quality of issuers in the portfolio. The investment strategy includes money market instruments such as commercial paper, Treasury bills and certificates of deposit, as well as other instruments and bank deposits. The fund may also invest in debt securities with floating or fixed rates, equities, securities contingent on credit events, and instruments with indeterminate maturities.
