The People’s Bank of China reviewed its systemwide political performance education program and directed the establishment of a long-term mechanism to embed its principles in decision-making, personnel management and internal oversight. The initiative will integrate ongoing education into Party governance processes, require recurring identification and correction of performance-related shortcomings, and strengthen supervision over the exercise of authority. The central bank also reiterated that its work should support high-quality financial development through implementation of a moderately loose monetary policy, improved financial services for the real economy, and the measured resolution of risks in key areas. Other priorities include advancing the five major areas of finance, deepening financial reform and opening, and implementing tasks under the 15th Five-Year Plan.
