The National Bank of Moldova published an update on a working visit by its leadership to the National Bank of Romania in Bucharest, focused on expanding bilateral cooperation, strengthening international dialogue, and supporting Moldova’s integration into European and global financial structures. The delegation, led by National Bank of Moldova Governor Anca Dragu and including members of the Executive Committee and department heads, discussed options to further institutional collaboration and highlighted the National Bank of Romania’s ongoing support for Moldova’s European path. The talks also reviewed cooperation on technical assistance and financial education through joint programmes and exchanges of best practices, and reiterated the value of continuing joint events. Dragu linked the partnership to Moldova’s accession to the Single Euro Payments Area, citing faster, safer, and more accessible payments and describing the National Bank of Romania’s support as instrumental; the relationship is framed as operating under the bilateral cooperation agreement and contributing to alignment with European standards in key financial-sector areas.
