The Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic participated in the official launch of the first issuance of the national stablecoin USDKG, backed by physical gold and pegged to the US dollar. The launch marked the issuance and circulation of 50,000,000 USDKG tokens on the TRON network. Each token is equal to USD 1 and is described as fully backed by physical gold, with USDKG also described as fully backed by the Kyrgyz Republic. Issuance will be carried out by OJSC “Virtual Assets Issuer”, which has a 100% state stake, and the launch ceremony was attended by President Sadyr Japarov and the chair of the issuer’s board, Biybolot Mamytov.
