The Spanish Securities Commission (CNMV) has appointed the jury for the ninth edition of the Antonio Moreno Espejo Journalism Prize, which carries an award of EUR 15,000 and recognises journalistic work that promotes market integrity and transparency, investor protection and financial education. The jury will be chaired by CNMV Chair Carlos San Basilio, with members Montserrat Martínez Parera (advisor to the Governor of the Bank of Spain and former CNMV Vice Chair), Gloria Martínez-Picazo (BME Investor Ombudsperson and senior lawyer specialising in corporate governance) and Lucas Osorio (Chair of Emisores Españoles and co-managing partner at MO Estudio Legal). Alberto Estévez, CNMV Director of Communication, will serve as secretary. The award was created in memory of Antonio Moreno Espejo, who served as Director of the CNMV’s Authorisations and Registration of Entities Department from 2002 until his death in January 2017. Eligible submissions include any article, report or journalistic work published in Spanish media or distributed via any format or channel between 1 January and 31 December 2025 in any of Spain’s official languages. The deadline for applications is 15 January.
