The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis appointed five new members to its Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council (CDIAC) for three-year terms starting in 2026 and named an existing member, Orvin "Orv" Kimbrough, to a three-year term as council chair. The CDIAC provides input to the St. Louis Fed president on the economy, lending conditions, and other issues affecting community depository institutions. The new appointees are Dale Cole (First Community Bank, Batesville, Arkansas), Edna H. Hughes (Lewisburg Banking Co., Lewisburg, Kentucky), Richard "Rick" Nichols (Multipli Federal Credit Union, Jefferson City, Missouri), Huey "Hue" Townsend (Guaranty Bank & Trust Co., Belzoni, Mississippi), and Sydney "Syd" Whitlock (The New Washington State Bank, New Washington, Indiana). Continuing members are Matthew Daniels (Apex Bank), John Dosier (First Southern Bank), Sally Hopkins (FNB Bank), Nikki Roser (The First National Bank of Carmi), Todd Swims (Leaders Credit Union), and Joe Turner (Great Southern Bank); the CDIAC was established in 2011 and is composed of 12 executives from smaller financial institutions headquartered across the Federal Reserve’s Eighth District. The council meets twice a year at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, with meetings scheduled for March 3-4 and Oct. 15-16, and the chair reports twice yearly to the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, D.C.

The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis appointed five new members to its Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council (CDIAC) for three-year terms starting in 2026 and named Orvin "Orv" Kimbrough as council chair.
