The Bank of France appointed Philippe Mongars as deputy secretary general of the ACPR, deputy director general of the Directorate General for Financial Stability and Operations (DGSO), and head of the Financial Stability Hub (PSF). He succeeds François Haas, who will join the Bank of France’s New York office as chief representative for the Americas. Mongars joined the Bank of France in 1997 and has held various roles in market operations, including at the European Central Bank, before heading the risk directorate in 2014 and the finance and management control directorate in 2018. He graduated from the Institut Commercial de Nancy and holds an MBA from the University of Bradford.

The Bank of France has appointed Philippe Mongars as deputy secretary general of the Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority, deputy director general of the Directorate General for Financial Stability and Operations, and head of the Financial Stability Hub, succeeding François Haas. Haas will move to the Bank of France’s New York office as chief representative for the Americas.
