The Italian Institute for Insurance Supervision (IVASS) ordered the blocking of two websites for unlawfully offering insurance services. Access restrictions are being implemented by internet service providers operating in Italy and, for technical reasons, may take a few days to become effective. The sites targeted are assicurazionitridentine.it (including www.assicurazionitridentine.it) and rca.astra-fcagroup.it (including www.rca.astra-fcagroup.it). IVASS reported that the total number of abusive sites blocked since it began using this power in November 2023 has reached 359, and urged consumers to be cautious of policy offers made via instant messaging and payment requests using prepaid credit cards, and to rely on IVASS’s official lists of authorised intermediaries and supervised insurers.

The Italian Institute for Insurance Supervision (IVASS) has ordered internet service providers in Italy to block two websites unlawfully offering insurance services, bringing the total number of abusive sites blocked since November 2023 to 359.
