The Bank of Greece published provisional residential property price data showing that apartment prices in nominal terms rose 5.7% year on year in the first quarter of 2026 across the country. The increase marks a slower pace than the revised 8.1% average annual rise recorded in 2025 and the 9.1% increase in 2024. By property age, prices for new apartments, up to five years old, increased 6.0%, while old apartments, over five years old, rose 5.5%. Regionally, apartment prices increased 5.2% in Athens, 6.4% in Thessaloniki, 5.4% in other cities and 6.9% in other areas of Greece. For all urban areas combined, prices were estimated to have risen 5.6% year on year in the first quarter of 2026, compared with a revised 7.8% average annual increase in 2025.
