The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis announced that President and Chief Executive Officer Neel Kashkari will host a Fed Listens event and conversation on March 26 at the Detroit Lakes Regional Chamber of Commerce Economic Summit in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, focused on labor market conditions, inflation, and how the Federal Reserve communicates and transmits monetary policy. Moderated by Detroit Lakes Chamber President Jackie Buboltz, the session is part of the Federal Reserve’s Fed Listens outreach supporting its 2025 review of monetary policy strategy, tools, and communications practices, which is expected to be completed this summer. Kashkari will also hold a listening session with local business leaders and tour a tribal enterprise, joined by Minneapolis Fed leaders from its Research and Community Development and Engagement divisions, including the Center for Indian Country Development.
