Egypt's Financial Regulatory Authority directed the Egyptian Compulsory Motor Insurance Pool to expedite compensation for victims of a passenger bus rollover in Nuweiba, South Sinai, which killed 16 people and injured 28. The pool will contact victims’ families immediately and help them complete the required documentation. Compensation is set at EGP 100,000 for each death, while payments for injuries will depend on the disability percentage determined by the medical commission. Payouts are subject to receipt and completion of the accident documents, the applicable insurance coverage limits and confirmation that the compulsory insurance policy was valid.
