The National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan reported that its Deputy Chair, Daler Murodalizoda, met with World Bank representatives under the “Strengthening the financial system in Tajikistan – Phase II” programme to discuss cooperation aimed at improving the resilience and transparency of the financial system and expanding financial inclusion. A key focus was implementation of the National Strategy for Financial Inclusion through the creation of a unified web portal enabling consumers to compare pricing and terms for financial services, intended to support consumer protection, promote competition in banking, and raise financial literacy. The discussions also covered plans to develop methodological guidance for financial credit institutions on data transfer and updating processes, test the platform with stakeholders, and strengthen staff capabilities as the sector transitions toward digitalisation.
