The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission is seeking stakeholder views on a proposed court enforceable undertaking from Linfox Armaguard covering interim pricing, service levels, national coverage and third party access to cash centres. If accepted, the undertaking would apply while the ACCC assesses long-term pricing and service levels for Armaguard’s cash distribution services. The proposal also provides for complaints handling, dispute resolution and independent audits. Separately, the ACCC is considering whether to use its interim direction powers to require specified services or facility access on specified terms during the transitional period, either instead of or alongside the undertaking. The Reserve Bank of Australia designated Armaguard under the Cash Distribution Framework Act 2026 on Sept. 3, bringing Australia’s largest cash distribution provider within the ACCC-administered framework.
