Thailand Office of Insurance Commission announced it will upgrade its youth insurance literacy initiative in 2025 by launching “Insurefluencer the New GEN”, repositioning its previous youth insurance project to build a larger network of students able to communicate insurance knowledge to families, communities and wider society. The programme is set to deliver insurance education through boot camps, student-led exploration of different insurance types, and the creation of insurance learning resources in schools and educational institutions. It will also run a competition to select national “model schools” for insurance, with first, second and third place winners receiving prize money and additional activities to support preparation for university entrance examinations. As context, the Office reported that its 2024 follow-on activities for prior model-school winners, including “Insurance Teacher” and “Insurance for TCAS”, involved 1,179 student participants and covered English and mathematics tutoring, TGAT exam guidance, and higher-education and career pathway information linked to the insurance sector.
