The Brazilian Superintendence of Private Insurance (SUSEP) has confirmed that public consultations are under way on draft National Council of Private Insurance (CNSP) resolutions intended to operationalise Complementary Law No. 213/2025. Speaking at an industry event in Tubarão, Santa Catarina, SUSEP’s Director for Prudential Regulation and Economic Studies underscored the use of consultations to collect suggestions from interested parties. Three draft CNSP resolutions are currently open for input: Consultation Notice SUSEP No. 2/2025 on general rules for mutualist patrimonial protection operations (open until 1 October); Consultation Notice SUSEP No. 5/2025, which among other topics addresses the role of insurance brokers in this new market (open until 1 November); and Consultation Notice SUSEP No. 7/2025 on general rules for insurance operations conducted by insurance cooperative societies (open until 28 October). Submissions are accepted via SUSEP’s Public Consultation System.
