The State Bank of Vietnam has organised a specialist training programme on digital strategy and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in the central bank’s management and operational decision-making for department-level leaders and equivalents. The programme, delivered with the support of the Human Resources Department, the Information Technology Department and Ho Chi Minh City Banking University, is intended to build strategic digital transformation capability and strengthen practical use of AI in leadership and administration. Course content covers building AI assistant systems, applying AI in finance and banking, and using AI tools to support leadership and management, alongside developing digital action plans to support implementation across SBV units. Deputy Governor Pham Tien Dung linked the focus to SBV’s responsibilities for policy issuance, supervision of credit institutions and the processing of large volumes of documents and data, where AI-enabled efficiency gains could reduce processing time for internal work.
