The Bank of Italy has released new additions to its economic research publications, issuing two new “Temi di discussione” papers, four new “Questioni di economia e finanza” papers, and Research Newsletter No. 78. The “Temi di discussione” papers (Nos. 1486–1487) assess the impact of the investment tax credit for investments in Southern Italy over 2016–2020 and examine how firms’ asset revaluations affect access to credit. The “Questioni di economia e finanza” papers (Nos. 932–935) cover a multi-stage generative artificial intelligence system for answering questions on banking regulation, the transformation of the semiconductor ecosystem through sanctions and subsidies, the role of households’ awareness of current inflation, and how international trade fragmentation could shape global value chains. Newsletter No. 78 is published in English.
