The Taiwan Financial Services Commission published fourth-quarter 2025 figures on life insurers’ sales of spillover-effect insurance products and insurance products offering in-kind payments, covering approvals/registrations, new contracts and first-year premium income. As of the fourth quarter of 2025, the FSC had approved or accepted registrations of 305 spillover-effect insurance products from 15 life insurance companies. New contracts reached 1,299,768, up 9% year on year from 1,195,985, while first-year premium income rose 61% to TWD 44,652.07 million from TWD 27,748.63 million. For in-kind payment insurance products, the FSC had approved or accepted registrations of 52 products from 7 life insurance companies, with 453,286 new contracts sold, up 74% from 261,115, but first-year premium income fell 50% to TWD 872.38 million from TWD 1,736.7 million.

In contrast, in-kind payment insurance products saw a 74% increase in new contracts but a 50% decline in first-year premium income to TWD 872.38 million.
