Argentina's Superintendency of Insurance published procedures and deadlines for creditors, workers and other affected parties following the court ordered liquidation of Productores de Frutas Argentinas Cooperativa de Seguros Limitada. The authority revoked the insurer's operating authorization and imposed safeguards on reinsurance contracts and the administration of real estate to preserve its assets and protect creditors. Creditors must apply through the Remote Procedures Platform for recognition of claims by Feb. 15, 2027. Challenges and observations are due by March 1, 2027. Judicial notices must be submitted to the appointed liquidators, while court requests concerning the insurer or the Reserve Fund must use the designated platform procedure. To maintain medical and cash benefits previously provided by the insurer, the Superintendency appointed SML Consultores Médicos S.A. to manage the benefits through the Reserve Fund established under Article 34 of Law No. 24,557.
