The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) reported that its Chairman, Dr Mohamed Farid, participated in the opening of the London Stock Exchange trading session as part of “Egypt Day” in the United Kingdom, within an official delegation on a business mission organised by the Egyptian British Business Association (BEBA) under the theme “Egypt’s new era, investment opportunities”. The participation was positioned as part of the FRA’s ongoing effort to deepen strategic partnerships with relevant international institutions. The delegation included the Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk, Central Bank of Egypt Deputy Governor Rami Abu El Naga, and senior officials from the FRA, investment and trade, the Egypt Sovereign Fund, and the Egyptian Exchange, alongside the Financial Services Institute. The agenda includes joint meetings with UK business leaders, investors and prominent figures to expand cooperation with British companies, share experience and understanding of Egypt’s financial, regulatory and investment priorities, and support the FRA’s stated objectives of strengthening the efficiency and competitiveness of Egypt’s capital market and aligning with global practices.
