The Tanzania Capital Markets and Securities Authority has announced the Securities Industry Certification Course, to be delivered with the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment of the United Kingdom from 14 July to 22 August 2025. The six-week evening programme is aimed at current and prospective capital markets professionals and is relevant because, under Section 32 of the Capital Markets and Securities Act, people intending to work as dealers, dealer representatives, investment advisers, investment adviser representatives, nominated adviser representatives or other market intermediaries must hold CMSA certification. The course is designed to build practical and foundational capital markets knowledge for brokers, nominated advisers, investment advisers, regulators, stock exchange officials and other market participants, including banks, pension funds, asset managers, listed companies and professional firms. It will be delivered on a part-time basis through lectures at the CMSA Training Centre in Dar es Salaam, with online participation also available, and will end with examinations after six weeks. Participants must hold at least a diploma or equivalent. The application fee is TZS 50,000 and the participation fee is TZS 2,000,000, excluding travel and accommodation costs.
