The Argentina Securities Commission (CNV) president Roberto E. Silva spoke at the virtual session “Capital markets for SMEs: Financing and investments”, organised by Banco Ciudad’s Instituto PyME, outlining the regulator’s perspective on SMEs’ participation in the capital markets. He highlighted the CNV’s role in promoting instruments that facilitate small and medium-sized enterprise financing and in creating conditions to support SMEs’ integration and growth in the market. Silva stated that the CNV is advancing regulation aimed at easing SME financing and that it wants new SMEs to enter the capital markets in an accessible way without unnecessary obstacles. The event also featured market perspectives from Claudio Zuchovicki (BYMA), Leandro Fisanotti (MAV) and Juan José Preciado (RICSA), with the session led by Nora Ramos (UNTREF rating agency), and was designed to provide SMEs with information and tools on capital-markets financing and investment opportunities.
