The Taiwan Financial Services Commission published July 2026 business data showing credit card retail sales declined to TWD 454.4 billion from TWD 788.7 billion in June. Across 32 issuers, effective cards decreased to 59.49 million and active cards to 39.94 million, while revolving credit rose to TWD 119 billion. The credit card delinquency ratio increased to 0.18% from 0.16%, and monthly write-offs declined to TWD 540 million. Electronic payment activity expanded across most measures. Account users rose to 41.51 million, transaction agency volumes increased to TWD 33.01 billion and small-value remittances reached TWD 18.01 billion. Stored-value funding flows increased to TWD 33.5 billion, while electronic payment account balances reached TWD 20.09 billion. Cash card loans edged up to TWD 9.6 billion, with the delinquency ratio rising to 0.946% from 0.886%.
