CDP has published details of a collaboration with Japan’s Ministry of the Environment to expand the use of corporate nature-related disclosure data. Information reported by companies through CDP will inform policymaking, support stakeholder engagement and help assess progress toward domestic and international nature-positive goals. The data provide visibility into companies’ nature-related actions and challenges and include information aligned with the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures framework. The ministry also plans to use relevant information when assessing Japan’s progress through its Seventh National Report to the Convention on Biological Diversity.
