The National Bank of Ukraine has updated the position of its special fundraising account for the defense forces, reporting that the balance exceeded UAH 6 billion as of 1 July 2026. The account, opened on 24 February 2022, has received the equivalent of more than UAH 159 billion since the start of Russia’s full-scale war, including almost UAH 302 million in June 2026. Cross-border donations account for the bulk of inflows, with more than UAH 136.8 billion remitted from abroad in foreign currencies. Since the account was launched, the National Bank of Ukraine has allocated more than UAH 154 billion to defense needs, including about UAH 651 million in June 2026. The largest cumulative allocations have gone to the Defence Procurement Agency at almost UAH 97.6 billion and the Ministry of Defense at almost UAH 38.5 billion, alongside funding for the State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection, regional military administrations, the National Guard, the National Police, the Main Directorate of Intelligence and other security and emergency bodies.

Most inflows from abroad were remitted in foreign currencies, and the largest cumulative disbursements went to the Defence Procurement Agency and the Ministry of Defense.
