The Indonesia Financial Services Authority published remarks by Chair Friderica Widyasari Dewi outlining its priorities under an expanded national development mandate. The authority will focus on financial-sector stability and integrity, safe and responsible access to financial services, consumer protection and financing for productive and sustainable economic activity. The mandate covers regulation and supervision of the Strategic Minerals and Commodities Exchange, continued capital market reform and development of the carbon market through the Carbon Unit Registry System. The commodities exchange is expected to support a credible and transparent market and an Indonesia Reference Price. Capital market measures include stronger institutions and stock exchange demutualization, while the carbon market work is intended to create a transparent national ecosystem connected to global markets and support green financing.
