The Pensions Regulator (TPR) has published a diversity pay gap report presenting data and analysis on its gender, disability, ethnicity and sexual orientation pay gaps, going beyond the public sector’s mandatory gender pay gap reporting requirements. Using data as of 31 March 2024, TPR reported a mean gender pay gap of 3.9% and a median gender pay gap of 8.4%, both below 10% and below the wider civil service figures of 7.4% and 8.5%. TPR reiterated its ambition to reach a 2% gender pay gap and said it has developed an action plan to address all pay gaps, with particular focus on ethnicity and sexual orientation pay gaps that remain above 10%. TPR expects changes in senior leadership and other actions taken after 31 March 2024 to influence future pay gap outcomes, with effects expected to be reflected in subsequent reports.
