Chile’s Financial Market Commission issued an alert warning that ERVShares, Inversiones e Inmobiliaria Mella e Hijos SPA, INVESTIVEO and FRWEBONLINE LTD., CROWNEQUITYPRO, and AZUL INVEST are not registered with the CMF and are not legally authorised to provide regulated services. It noted that, as a result, the CMF cannot exercise supervisory or sanctioning powers over these entities. The alert identifies websites used by several of the entities, including ervshares.com, investiveo.com, crownequitypro.com and azulinv.com. The CMF advised investors to check its website to confirm whether a firm is registered and supervised in Chile and to identify those responsible for its management, and to use internet searches to look for complaints or negative information about the company, its directors and the products being offered. It also pointed to CMF website tools for verifying whether a person or entity offering financial products or services is supervised, reviewing CMF and foreign-regulator alerts on unregulated activities, and accessing additional guidance aimed at protecting investors, policyholders and other financial clients.
