The Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission has rolled out a free online Company Registration Simulation on its revamped SEC Academy platform, allowing entrepreneurs to practice the end-to-end company registration process before submitting an actual application. The tool is designed to help users understand system requirements and reduce applications that stall due to incomplete or unmet requirements, while easing traffic in the live registration system. The simulation mirrors registration via the Electronic Simplified Processing of Application for Registration of Company (eSPARC) and includes familiarisation with creating an account in the Electronic SEC Universal Registration Environment (eSECURE) to access SEC digital services. It supports simulated applications for one person corporations, domestic stock and non-stock corporations, and foreign stock and non-stock corporations, including branch offices, representative offices, and regional operating headquarters. Users receive test eSECURE credentials, can practise digital authentication of system-generated documents through the Electronic Submission Authentication Portal (eSAP), and can generate a tentative payment assessment based on authorised capital. The initiative sits within the SEC’s broader SEC Academy programme, which also provides free online courses on personal finance, starting businesses, investing, and avoiding investment scams.
