The Financial Conduct Authority has published a notice that Halo Financial Limited entered special administration on 29 May 2026. Louise Longley and Bai Cham of BTG Begbies Traynor Central LLP were appointed as joint special administrators. Halo is authorised by the FCA to provide payment services under the Payment Services Regulations 2017, and the administrators are responsible for managing customer claims against the firm and returning funds to customers where possible. The notice adds that Halo agreed to a voluntary undertaking on 30 April 2026 that restricted the activities it could carry out, including conducting payment services and accepting any additional funds. Halo remains authorised by the FCA, which said it will continue to engage with the special administrators and seek the best outcomes for consumers. Customers were also warned to remain alert to potential fraud, including unexpected calls from anyone claiming to be from Halo, Begbies or the FCA.
